Objectives

To train course members in the safe use of equipment and in oxy/acetylene cutting techniques in mild steel.

Aims

By the end of the course delegates should be able to:
 

• Be aware of potential dangers that can arise by the incorrect use of the equipment
• Assemble equipment in the correct, safe manner
• Recognize faults in the equipment
• Correct simple faults in the equipment safely
• Cut in a correct, safe manner
• Safely handle the equipment
• Adjust flame correctly
• Adjust pressures to suit material thickness
