The Course Covers
Electricity at Work Regulations with emphasis on responsibilities
Earthing practices or alternative safety devices
Excess current protection, fuse types and Miniature Circuit Breakers
Cable connections
Safe Isolation
Systems for working dead, locking off, warning notices
Use of test equipment to establish circuit is safely isolated.
Practical application of safe isolation procedures.
Introduction to IEE Regulations and references where applicable to participants needs.
Electrical Systems, Three phase and Single Phase
Earthing
systems.
Use of Multimeters and voltage indicating devices.
Types of electric motors and control equipment
Safe disconnection.
Time to be allocated to practical application of all techniques listed above including a practical assessment of all participants abilities plus a short question paper.
