Course Aims

To enable course members to understand all aspects of the Manual Handling Regulations, particularly the requirements and principles of workplace activities and assessments.

Objectives

By the end of the course, delegates will be able to:

• State the definition of criminal and civil safety law relating to manual handling
• Define individual responsibilities relating to:
  • Assessment of work area
  • Signed interview ILC
  • Control measures
• Give advice and guidance to develop safe systems of work to prevent reasonably foreseeable injury.
