NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Safety & Health
Introduction
The Certificate is designed for people who have an involvement
in construction work & need to provide advice on health, safety & welfare in
construction work.
Learning Outcomes
To identify the main hazards & unsafe practices associated with
construction work & know the appropriate preventative & remedial actions to be
taken.
To monitor & audit management's policies, procedures &
performance in securing health & safety in the workplace.
To advise on the requirements of health, safety & welfare
legislation & guidance as applied to construction work.
To describe when & where to obtain guidance on health & safety
matters; maintain an information retrieval system & disseminate information when
needed.
To select appropriate inspection techniques for specific work
situations & undertake workplace inspections.
Certification
Exam - two 2-hour papers & a practical assessment involving
safety monitoring of a construction site & the production of a formal report.
