IOSH Working Safely Online e-learning Package

The IOSH Working Safely e-learning Package assists delegates in meeting the requirements of the IOSH syllabus and preparing them for assessment.

The IOSH Working Safely e-learning Package is designed for either the single or multiple user and is divided into individual ‘parts’ to mirror the IOSH syllabus. Each part has its own index, which references the syllabus content headings.

There is a motivational reward system that awards users with gold stars for completion of each part. This is broken down into: Multi choice and hazard spotting.

Users are easily able to move between the different Working Safely parts with the buttons being clearly labelled and visible; they may also go back over the pages of information for further reference. There is an interactive introduction which provides users with information about the IOSH Working Safely. This can be found on the main page. The active time spent in each of the parts is timed by the software. All data entered, together with timings as appropriate, in the three sections: (Multi-choice, Hazard Spotting animations and IOSH Mock assessment) is recorded by the program. (In order to record study hours accurately the software monitors when it is actually being used or inactive while taking a break).

Multi-Choice Assessment

Each Part (1-5) is supported by a Multi-Choice Assessment, to check understanding. These questions are selected at random from a bank of questions within the software. Each test is marked by the software and a result is given upon completion. Users may review their tests results for feedback. To unlock these assessments the user must have spent enough time reviewing the material, this is set to half the recommended time.

Hazard spotting exercises and animated video

Part 3 contains additional interactive features, hazard spotting exercises and animated video. The hazard spotting exercise requires users to interact by identifying on-screen hazards. These are also marked by the software, with results and feedback available. The animated videos present users with potential hazards in the workplace.

Mock and Final Assessment

Upon successful completion of Parts (1-5), part 6 will become unlocked. Part 6 contains a Mock Assessment and Final Assessment. The IOSH Mock Assessment allows users to 'sit' a mock assessment under time constraints.  Users sit 10 questions, similar to those in the real assessment. These questions are multiple choice based. The number of answers are highlighted in the questions. The Final Assessment will consist of 30 questions: 27 Multiple choice and 3 hazard spotting slides.

You must successfully complete this to gain the IOSH Working Safely certificate.

IMPORTANT: Students must complete their study hours, exercises and final assessment within 1 month of purchase.

Registration with IOSH is restricted to 3 months from purchase, which provides time for one re-sit, the cost of which is included in the fees.

Students may be subject to IOSH/ACT re-registration fees after this 3 month period.

IOSH fees of £25 per student is NOT included within the package price.

Students are entitled to one re-take within the package price - any re-takes thereafter are subject to ACT / IOSH fees.
