Basic Tug Training
Introduction
This course is for staff that are required to drive Tugs.
The Course Covers
- Introduction to Health and Safety at work act 1974.
- Introduction to Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998.
- Theory in classroom: Safe working methods for Tug operators.
- Pre shift check of Tug & checking items towed by Tug
- Safe moving off and stopping + Emergency stop with and without loaded trailers.
- A practical test of operators: Basic operating skills in a close area.
Course Duration
Assuming novice with a driving licence: One day / max three persons.
Novice with no driving
licence: Three days / max three persons
