Heating System Design

Introduction

This course has been designed for engineers who already have some basic knowledge of the principles of heating design and who would wish to gain further experience in this field. It will cover the more complex issues such as pumps, positioning, zoning, mixing and diverting valves. The additional information will obviously benefit people who are using computers for design work.

Aims

This course is designed to provide an in depth understanding of the planning and design requirements of Heating.

Objectives

By the end of the course, participants will have been shown how to:

  1. Correctly zone a building for heating requirements.
  2. Distinguish between Mixing and Diverting Valves and apply them in the correct position.
  3. State the correct position for pumps and select pumps for series and parallel working.
  4. State the correct layout for Boiler Houses/Rooms and plan for all the auxiliary plant required.
  5. All the above objectives will be carried out in accordance with current design standards and practice used throughout the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Industry.

The Course Covers

  • Pumps, series, parallel and positioning
  • Mixing and Diverting Valves
  • Boiler house layouts
  • Zoning

Course Duration

Three Days

Please Note

This course can be run with "Basic Heating Planning" making a complete five day course.
