Confined Space Entry Procedures with Rescue Breathing Apparatus
Introduction
This series of courses are designed for personnel needing to undertake
Confined Space Entry and Rescue procedures.
Persons attending must be 100% fit and well and are required to bring with
them a recent medical certificate to fully participate on this course.
Aims and Objectives
This course offers practical exercises in the use of escape breathing apparatus under the control and supervision of the
instructor. On completion of
the course the participants will have the knowledge and skills needed to be able
to enter, work, leave and undertake rescue procedures in a confined space.

- Overview of current legal requirements
- Definition of a Confined Space and Associated Hazards
- Safe Systems of Work/Permit to Enter
- Gas Detection Equipment
- PPE, COSHH and Hygiene
- Use of Escape Breathing Apparatus and Self Contained Breathing Apparatus
- Emergency Procedures and Communications
- Preparation of Equipment
- Practical Exercise covering Escape Breathing Apparatus and Self Contained
BA Tests
- Emergency First Aid and Oxygen Resuscitator
- Course Review and Assessments
Course Duration
Three days
Certification
Delegates will be assessed during the course and a certificate will be issued to
those that reach the required standard.
