Self Defence and Personal Safety
Introduction
This course is designed for employees who are at risk of abuse or assault by
members of the public in circumstances arising out of the course of his or her
job. Front line staff who make home visits or work in reception areas will find
this course particularly beneficial.
Aims & Objectives
Participants are given the opportunity to learn techniques which may be used
when a person is at risk of causing harm to themselves or others.

- Aggression - Models (if required)
- Causation of Behaviour (if required)
- Non-physical Strategies for Dealing with Threats and Intimidation
- Breakaway Techniques
Course Duration
This course can be tailored to meet the specific needs of the group and can
be of one to three days duration.
