Plastering Skills for Maintenance Staff
Introduction
This training programme has been specifically developed for maintenance staff
who are required to refurbish and maintain interior surfaces.
Aims
To familiarize the participants with the principles and practical application
of plastering, enabling them
to select the correct materials and produce acceptable surfaces whilst
complying with the relevant Health and Safety legislation.
The Course Covers
- Applicable site safety allied plastery
- Types of plastering and use - Bonding and Rendering
- Plaster board applications and fixing dry lining
- The tools used in plastering and their purpose
- Making good, cleaning all and background preparation
- Applying float coats (carlite browning)
- Cutting and fixing angle beads and running rales
- Application of one-coat plaster - Rendering
- Application of sand and plaster mix
- Application of plastering overhead
- Fault recognition
