Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome & Whole Body Vibration
Who is this course for?
This course is aimed at managers, supervisors, engineers and persons
responsible for carrying out risk assessments for HAV and WBV. Aims
To educate personnel about the indicators, symptoms, causes and responses to the
Hand Arm Vibration condition known as ‘white finger’ this will be achieved by
meeting the following objectives:
- Reviewing the current organisational outlook on HAV and WBV
- Determining the extent to which the organisation is exposed to work
practices and other factors that might result in HAV and WBV
- Assessing and implementing risk controls relevant to the needs of the
organisation
- Reducing Vibration exposure
Objections
To give candidates an understanding of current legislation and how it applies to
Hand Arm
Vibration Syndrome. To enable the candidate to identify the risks and symptoms
of white finger
Candidates will realise the need to limit exposure to excessive vibration.
Certification
The candidates will be involved in various assessments throughout the two day
course to test their knowledge of the various requirements and the Approved
Codes of Practice, ending in a practical test and a written question and answer
sheet. Those passing the test will receive a company certificate. |
