Many working days are lost each year through back and other injuries caused
by poor lifting methods. The Health and Safety at Work Act and the Manual
Handling Regulations requires employers to ensure that correct lifting methods
are used in the workplace. This practical workshop educates persons who are
required to lift or move loads in the course of their work. This is a half day
version of our one day manual handling regulations workshop.
Aims
Participants will be able to safely use posture, body movement and correctly
use the energy developed in correctly moving to carry out operations within
their capabilities during a working day.
