Introduction
This course is recommended for potential managers.
Aims
The course examines the following areas:
- Behavioural Analysis - Styles of behaviour, Theory X and Y. Influencing
the behaviour of others.
- The Role of a Manager - The job cycle of managers, pro-active and
re-active management. Key result areas.
- Team Development - By field accompaniments, setting standards and targets,
coaching band motivation.
- Individual Development - By discipline, counselling, consulting and
negotiating. Giving and accepting criticism.
- Presentation Skills - Preparation, structure, visual aids and delivery.
Objectives
By the end of the course delegates will be able to:
- Describe the role of a manager
- Compile, implement and monitor performance standards and action corrective
measures, if required.
- Control development of the team and individuals through on the job
coaching and accompaniment
- Accept and deliver structured criticism as a development tool
- Recognize effective motivational actions and apply them in the work place
when appropriate
- Deliver a presentation based on the guidelines given.
