Risk Assessment: Working with Challenging Behaviour
Aims
This course addresses the complex issues involved in both managing
'challenging behaviour' and developing policies and strategies to deal with it.
Risk Assessment will underpin all of the inputs and practical exercises
undertaken by the group. The course will provide practical and theoretical
issues from within an anti-discriminatory frameworks that will equip manager and
their staff with the necessary expertise to work in non-oppressive, positive and
enabling ways.
Methods
This course will be delivered through a variety of formats which include
formal lectures, case studies, group activities, video material and discussion.
Handouts will also be available to accompany the session.
Course Outline
The final course content is attained following discussion with the
commissioning body in order to properly meet the needs of the target group.
