This course is designed for staff who are supporting people with learning disabilities.

Aims

All people will go through a natural grief process. This course will outline the grief process with specific reference to the needs of people with a learning disability.

Objectives

To look at the grief process
To look at mechanisms which support people through the process
To explore the practical support that can be given to people with a learning disability working through the grief process
To identify the staff role within the support system
