Management of Lifting Operations
(BS7121 - Appointed Person)
Introduction
This course is aimed at personnel who will be responsible for the Planning of
Lifting Operations using Mobile Cranes as stated in “BS7121 – Safe Use of
Cranes” and is based on the assumption that each delegate has some basic
experience in cranage and slinging. On that basis the level of the course has
been compiled to give each delegate the necessary knowledge and understanding of
his duties to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the selection and the
safe and proper use of mobile cranes and related lifting equipment.
Aims & Objectives
On completion of the course, each Delegate will have a
working knowledge of relevant legislation and will be conversant in producing
valid risk assessments and method statements and ensuring the safe and proper
use of Mobile Cranes and other relevant Lifting Equipment

Course Duration
Three Days – max 10 delegates
Certification
On satisfactory completion, each delegate will receive
a personal Certificate of Training and will be eligible to register with the
NPORS and receive a personal NPORS ID Card. NPORS: There is an additional
