Assertiveness for Supervisors

Introduction

To be successful, all Supervisors and first line Managers need to achieve results through their work teams, their colleagues - even their Managers. A constructive approach will provide that success.

Aims and Objectives

This workshop will provide delegates with the skills and knowledge to help them handle all interpersonal situations and problems in a positive, constructive way.

The Course Covers

  • How to recognize the difference between assertive, submissive and aggressive behaviour.
  • The knock-on (long term) effects of aggressive and submissive behaviour
  • How assertive behaviour can improve personal performance
  • The assertive "bill of rights"
  • How to build up basic assertiveness skills and apply the right techniques for the situation
  • How to handle aggression in others
  • How to give and receive constructive criticism
