This course has been designed for maintenance engineers who need to have the
skills to work on Hydraulic equipment safely and efficiently. The course is
based on NVQ unit module A1/M.
Objectives
On completion of this course the delegates will be able to:
Aware of the hazards and safe working practices in operating and
maintaining power hydraulic equipment
Able to state advantages of using "hydraulics" as a power source
Able to recognize and interpret CETOP and ISO symbols and circuit diagrams
Aware of the operating principles of gear pumps, vane pump, piston pumps
and hydraulic motors.
Able to describe the operation of hydraulic valves to control pressure,
flow and direction.
Aware of the safe operation and maintenance of accumulators
Able to build simple hydraulic circuits
Able to describe the operation of ancillary equipment including
accumulators and pressure switches
Able to diagnose and rectify simple faults in hydraulic systems
Course Duration
Five days or two days if immediately following our Pneumatics training (five
day) course.
Certification
Certificate of Attendance.
