Working Safely IOSH
Introduction
This course is an appreciation and introduction to Safety and Health in the
workplace for Junior staff in any organization. It is principally for first-line
supervisors, Safety Representatives and Employee Representatives who have had no
formal safety and health training.
The Course Covers
- An overview of general Safety and Health
- Specific Safety and Health topics (these are flexible depending on the
clients specific needs) e.g.:
- Manual Handling
- Machinery
- COSHH
Course Duration
Two days
Course Certification
The IOSH assessment will be in the form of a written paper. It consists of a multiple choice test paper of no more than 25 questions plus a
practical assessment relating to a workplace, using a pro forma or case study.
50% or more must be achieved for both the written and practical assessments.
An aggregate of 60% or more overall must be achieved to entitle the candidate to
receive a Working Safely Certificate.
