Manual Handling Regulations Workshop
Introduction
Statistics show that over 25% of reported accidents in the workplace are due
to the improper handling of heavy loads.
Under the new Manual Handling Operations Regulations that came into force on
1st January 1993 employers are required to make an assessment of all manual
handling operations and to take remedial action where there is an identifiable
risk to employees.
Aims
Participants will be able to lift and handle reasonable loads safely and
efficiently, minimizing the risk of injury and cumulative strain.
