Fork Lift Truck - Experienced Operator
Introduction
This practical course is for existing fork lift truck operators who have been continuously operating fork lift trucks for a minimum of six months. The course fully complies with the Approved Code of Practice for the Training of Fork Lift Truck Operators (April 1989).
Aims
To enable participants to acquire the skills and knowledge to operate fork lift trucks safely and effectively and to take the test.
The Course Covers
- The Health & Safety at Work Act and its implications
- FLT Operators Safety Code
- Introduction to Fork Lift Trucks
- Manoevering in open and confined spaces
- Stacking and destacking pallets at varying heights
- Battery maintenance and charging
- Daily checks and FLT maintenance
- Practical test
