Safe Entry into Confined Spaces
Introduction
This series of courses are designed for personnel involved in work in confined spaces
such as tanks and sewers.
Persons attending must be 100% fit and well, if in doubt a medical certificate stating
this will be required.
Aims
On completion of the required course the delegate will have the knowledge and skills
needed to be able to enter, work and leave a confined space safely.

- Overview of Gas Detection Equipment
- PPE
- Preparation
- Overview of Respiratory Protective Equipment
- Communication and Manning Levels
- Pre-use Checks and Use of Escape Breathing Apparatus
- Pre-use Checks of Rescue Harness and Manhoist
- Course Review and Assessments
Course Durations
One day
Certification
Delegates will be assessed during the course and a certificate will be issued to those
that reach the required standard.
