Activities for Disabled Persons

Introduction and Aims

This course has been designed to teach members of staff, such as drivers who are used to dealing with disabled persons, to be able to organize 'activities for disabled persons'.

The Course Covers

How to empower people who have disabilities to make choices
Practice - listening skills
Looking at barriers which are around that prevent people with disabilities from being 'included'.
Measuring successes - which yardsticks should be used to evaluate if activities are a positive experience for people with disabilities
Understanding our motivation - to ensure that the views of people who have physical disabilities are valued.
