Quality Awareness for Supervisors

Introduction

To complete effectively most industries now recognize that their success will be linked to their application of sound quality concepts. Whether their procedures are formal (e.g. BS5750/IS09000) or rely on employee attitude development (e.g. Total Quality Management), all Supervisors and first line Managers will need to fully understand how successful quality strategies work and particularly their role in achieving the desired results.

Aims and Objectives

This workshop will raise delegates awareness of the structure of a successful quality system and help them develop the right attitudes to ensure effective implementation.

The Course Covers

  • Why a quality assurance system is important
  • How to develop the right quality attitude at all levels
  • The outline requirements of BS5750/IS09000 and the relevance of parts 1, 2 and 3.
  • How to recognize the need for a quality system
  • How to identify the cost of quality
  • How to evaluate the cost of third party assessments
  • How to manage a quality control system
  • The relevant features and benefits of different quality initiatives e.g. Quality circles, Total Quality Management etc.
