Increasingly, stress is an issue in the workplace. Sadly, it is an issue
that is often ignored – to the cost of the individual and the business.
This programme therefore tackles the subject robustly
and with humour. Mel discovers that he is a victim of stress, our modern day
disease, and reflects on how this has affected all areas of his life.
Griff is fortunately on hand to point out that a little bit of time
management, delegation and relaxation can adequately deal with Mel’s anxiety.
The video is divided into four sections for ease of use:
If only it were that easy – Mel declares himself to
be a nervous wreck. He describes his symptoms to Griff who sees a pattern
emerging.
You could do something about it – Mel is beset by problems, feelings of inadequacy, too much to do. Griff suggests that Mel
starts using his diary again.
You can’t afford not to – Mel still hasn’t got
the message. Griff encourages him to plan, prioritise and delegate.
Isn’t that better? – Griff completes his stress
counselling session with advice on learning to relax and take care of
one’s physical health.
A great way of encouraging dialogue and discussion within
the team to help recognise problems and prevent anxieties being ‘bottled
up’.
