An Introduction to Assertiveness - Management Training - CDROM
How to relate positively to other people.
As a company, do you consider how much your employees’
behaviour can affect individual and team motivation? This programme gives
you and your staff the opportunity to do just that. The key to co-operation and
improved productivity is communication – and mastering assertive behaviour is
one of the first steps towards improving it.
An Introduction to
Assertiveness looks at our rights, investigates the important role of speech (we
are not always understood the way we would like to be), and shows how to apply
the various assertiveness techniques. The course distinguishes between assertive
and non-assertive behaviour, exploring their effects within the four classic
behaviour patterns:
-
aggressive
-
passive/aggressive
-
submissive
-
assertive
The content shows the learner how they can develop skills
to recognise these patterns (both in themselves and others) and so deal more
effectively with those they interact with.
Additionally, a short quiz tests current behaviour -
learners are asked to give reactions to 15 different video scenes. Their
responses are stored, providing them with a detailed profile of their general
attitude at the conclusion.
