Looking for something different? An exciting Day Out or perhaps a Corporate Event?
A Birthday Present or a Stag Party?
If you think YOU can handle the rush - then proceed - If not then turn away now!
If you've ever wondered what it would be like to jump out of an aeroplane at 2,000 feet, leaving the smell and noise of the engines behind and float silently back to earth safely suspended under a large open parachute now is your chance to find out! By attending one of our training courses for beginners at our privately owned airfield North of London, you can learn everything you need to know to make your first jump in safety and with confidence.
You'll learn: how the parachute equipment works; how to leave the aircraft in a stable face to earth position; how to land safely using the proper techniques; plus much, much, more... In short you'll receive the best training possible by our highly experienced, fully qualified, British Parachute Association Instructors.
Square (Ram Air) parachutes form the shape of a wing, allowing you to sail through the air with complete control, steering them through a flight pattern similar to that used by aircraft, towards a tip-toe landing as close to the cross as you can get. Initial jumps are made from 3,500 feet (1000m) using a static line, a system that automatically deploys your main parachute as you fall away from the aircraft.
Having completed a minimum of six static line jumps (learning the art of falling away from the aircraft whilst practising pulling a dummy rip cord handle) you could then be ready for your first free fall. Short 3 second delays first, then 5 second delays, then 10 second delays, then 15 second delays, as so on, each time building up your experience and jumping from higher and higher altitudes.
In a minimum of about 18 jumps you could qualify as a fully experienced skydiver and be clear to free fall for approximately 60 seconds from altitudes up to 12,000 feet (3,500m) deploying your parachute to be open at 2,000 feet (600m).
Conversion courses are available, for those who have completed one or more round parachute jumps. Tandem Skydives
You will exit the aircraft from an altitude of up to 12000 feet (3,500m) securely strapped to your instructor who will control the freefall element of your skydive and open your parachute at around 5000 feet (1,500m).
No prior experience is needed to taste the unparalleled thrill of one of the worlds fastest growing sports. Tandem jumping is a perfect introduction to real skydiving. Using the latest equipment technology in the form of a duel harness, and in the capable hands of some of the worlds best and most experienced skydivers. You can discover the thrill of a lifetime!
